You can block your OS from reaching out to any domain you want disabled by editing your hosts file

Linux: /etc/hosts
Windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Add the following lines and save the file (need admin/root permissions)

127.0.0.1 catbox.moe 127.0.0.1 files.catbox.moe 127.0.0.1 www.catbox.moe

This will direct all catbox.moe domain resolution to your localhost ip (127.0.0.1)

No browser extensions needed, ALL requests meant for that domain will not leave your local machine.

Edi: You will need to flush your browser cache for changes to take effect.
