I have been having great success dropping red pills every time the subject of covid 'variants' comes up. Delta Variant, Epsilon Variant, Lambda Variant this shit is all over the news right now. Every time these come up in conversation I say "So how do scientists tell the difference between the Delta Variant vs. normal Covid?"

This one question opens the door to talking about a few very obvious facts. When scientists talk about a variant of an organism, it is all based on a basic description of the differences between variants. This could be a difference in appearance, behavior, genetic make up etc... but fundamentally you need to be able to say "Variant B is different from Variant A in the following way(s)" So what is the list of characteristics that make the 'Covid-19 Delta Variant' different from 'Normal Covid-19'?

If you can get someone to think critically about this one question you can unravel a huge ball of lies... In the media there are lots of news articles that just say "The variant is scary because it is 'worse'." with no real data to back it up... Pure fear porn. If someone really digs they can find pages like https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/variants/variant-info.html which claim to have mapped differences at the DNA sequence level... and if they get that far you could point out that there is no 'DNA based Covid test" and that Covid has never been isolated or sequenced... but this only distracts and makes you look like a conspiracy theorist. The real tell-tale is that DNA sequencing is a difficult and expensive process... We are not sending millions of samples off to be fully DNA sequenced. Every lab on the planet capable of doing it would be swamped... so how are they making claims about the spread of the variant if there is no way to test for it 'at scale'?

I have used this line of conversation a few times to successfully get folks to think about the 'Covid Variant' narrative. Once they seriously consider that Variant=Propaganda the whole house of cards starts to fall apart.
