Your first mistake was not using an ad block, if you are going to use youtube (and not a client), the least you could do is screw them by blocking their main revenue. Do you part.
If you are on the phone, I highly recommend Newpipe, it is a youtube client without any of youtube bullshit and all the features, it is kinda slow sometimes but you get used to it.
Thanks, dude. I took this last week right before I switched over to Mint Linux with Firefox and all the addons. Fuck Windows, Joogle, and the spying that comes with it. :)

I heard Firefox can be pretty secure with the right ad-ons and configs, I tend to lean towards ungoogled chromiun as it is easier to manage, at least in my opinion, by the way, have you tried Wine? I tried installing it on an ubuntu live usb but no luck.
