I have been recruiting for my team for two months now and the pool of active candidates out there is thinner than I have ever see in it in the last 30 years. These positions are typically highly desirable... white collar tech job at a A-list tech company doing cool cutting edge stuff with great pay and benefits... normally when I post a job like this I get flooded with resumes and i cherry pick the best candidates. This time I got a few resumes on the first few days and then... nothing. Literally no one is applying. What's going on? is everyone really content to cash stimulus and unemployment checks even though the salary range in question is way over those amounts? Is it really true that no one wants to work anymore? I had been recruiting in just Canada but now I have opened it up to a global search and I am still seeing shit for applications.

If this is what the labor market is like everywhere then the global economy is FUCKED.

The laws of supply and demand ALWAYS work. Ask yourself this: how many applicants would you have if your job paid $200 per hour? If the answer isn't zero, then you don't have a labor shortage, you have a price problem. There is little or no demand for jobs that pay what your job is paying. If your company can afford to pay more and still make a profit, then do it and get more applicants. If it can't, then there are some hard choices ahead. It's a signal that the market doesn't value your product highly enough to make it work.

Right, exactly this. I recently stopped working in an office, and now I'm working 40+ hours a week as a forklift operator and looking at campers to buy then a plot of land. The "pandemic" was basically the last proof I needed that I need to get the hell out of society. A society that lets the cough get used to cause this level of destruction is a society that isn't going to last much longer.

There's really no "path to victory" for normies at this point. At EVERY step of the way they've decided to go with clownworld...including hating me, a young straight white male, because they're told to. FUCK...THAT...and FUCK...THEM...

There was a guy at my company who was expected to relocate from Switzerland to Toronto. They are finding him very resistant to relocation. Nobody wants to live in Cucknada. Its too risky to relocate with so much uncertainty. What happens if he goes over there and they decide to close the borders down again?

You might want to advertise a work-from-anywhere position. Then you'll get some skilled workers operating out of their prepper bunkers who just need a bit of extra pay to top off their ammo supplies. The truth is that people are starting to live like there might not be a tomorrow.

The stock market has capped off. Yields are dropping precipitously. Delta variant becoming the focal point in the news. Something big is just around the bend and even the dumbest person knows it.

A lot of folks in tech are checking out of life, like me for example. I'm paid off, have decent savings and can live dirt cheap .After I left my fortune 50 job in 2018 I was just going to semi-retire and take boutique tech projects for money. Then the pandemic hit and I'm content watching the world burn. My situation is extreme but folks are probably thinking why take on the stress of a new job or even rock the boat when no one knows what's going to happen next month let alone next year.

As someone in tech I'm pretty comfortable with my current work. The pay isn't top tier but neither are the stress levels and the company is going to be one of the last things to collapse as we transition into depression and civil war. Short term benefits of switching into an unknown are not great enough to justify a switch. I've rejected multiple offers for 30-40k more than im making at my current employer. I have a feeling a lot of white collar workers are playing the game conservatively as we move into the kali-yuga.

Perhaps the problem is "Canada". With the never-ending lockdowns, arresting of dissenters (even pastors), and all the quarantine issues, maybe people just don't want to live there.

The tech industry is a bubble filled with fake certs and businesses that will chew people alive. all your good workers already have places they like, or want nothing to do with the smell coming off your job offer.

A few of the good people had found different arrangements, eg: from freelance to state employed

Less pay but way less stress

The young have a very low percentage of "good", meaning precise, on time, able to understand questions, reliable

It is out collective fault (christian religion) of protecting the idiots

It is duty of God to judge and pardon, we, as society must strive for being fair and promote smart people that can predict the future.

on top of the above, we have jew running all social media and news, actively screwing the young minds with "entitlements"....

What can you do ? be real, if your company cannot fly because of the "weather", ground the fleet and become a pizza shop...
