Thanks for posting links. I hadn't heard of army times. One of the anomalies of the age is the mistaken belief that America is free whilst Britain is cloaked under draconian rules. The opposite is the case. We absolutely will not tolerate the army on the streets.

Edit: we also do not think it right for people to carry around guns and knives.
