Don't remember which ancient Greek historian who named the masses of people migrating westward from the Caucasus, but the historian named them Galatae because they were "milk drinkers" and had huge hordes of livestock (farmers, shepherds etc). Caesar named these "Germans" because they were genuine (in comparison to the Celts etc).
Galatae is another name for Spain, modern Spain however had 900 years of arab rule so their racial stock is not the same as the Visigothic kingdom.
