you live a lie inside a shell
It's hard to do when you could literally lose your whole life's work by presenting yourself, as-is, to the wrong person. Actually, I kinda lied-by-omission in that title: my wife knows me as well as I do myself, but that's it. Every time I become one with my mind, body and soul: the demons come out and start trying to derail me. Not gonna lie: they're pretty good at what they do.
Maybe a touch of stoicism will help? Still I use sites like this to vent and I am sure many do. Too much hassle to deal with all the random shitters around.
I always attempted to start reading "Meditations," but would eventually get side-tracked reading/doing something else. It's kinda funny, actually: said diary would motivate me enough to go and do some shit, so I'd forget to finish reading the whole thing before even getting half-way, lol. Should probably go ahead and finish it one of these days.

"Almost 2000 years ago, Marcus Aurelius essentially set the groundwork for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the gold standard today for treatment of Anxiety and Depression. Truly a man ahead of his time."
