It’s becoming incredibly hard to find products made to last or be repaired. Some s till exist, I seek them out whenever available.
Some will pass on to my children.
Agreed. I actually spent way too much money on a fucking wallet one time. I've had this wallet for decades (Saddleback). It was not a mistake.
The company made a video of why their stuff is good and why the competition is fake crap and made sense. It was so obnoxious but funny. I cannot find it right now.
E: Also, I believe at the time their slogan was "your kids will fight over it when you are dead." Or something like that.
E2: I still have the wallet, and I don't think I will ever need a new wallet again in my life. The fucking thing is so solid.
A well designed and built product will not only serve better the first time versus cheap, it will continue for much longer doing better. Sometimes paying 5x the cost equals 50 x the savings over time not including the satisfaction of it working better.
Exactly. But on the other hand, sometimes it doesn't. Just to be real.
E: That is why "word of mouth" is important.
E2: I should so post a picture of my old wallet. The stitching is still completely non-frayed. I recommend Saddleback (at least two decades ago).
E3: Watch, some jew company bought them out and they suck now just leeching off the reputation ...
