This. I used to work corporate QA. Working for UPMC was the worst. The only full ti.e employee was a white guy who was a cintractor for over 5 years before he was hired full time. Everyone else were co tractors. The two database engineers were also white guys but they were in their 50s and 60s and had been arou d lonfer than the department manager and project lead. Besides me, there were only 2 other white guys in development, and one of them was the project lead's nephew. One guy couldn't even understand English. I could not tell him all the bugs he created because he simply couldn't understand English. He kept talking in broken Englis how he learned C in university. Well, I'm sure they poorly taught C and he was given a passing grade simply because he paid his tuition, but even that wasn't relevant since theproject was an ASP.NET project written in VB.NET and C#.
