I was talking to my ardently liberal brother. I was explaining that my body desaturates to the low 80s from walking 2-3 flights of stairs, and that this is one of the primary symptoms of emphysema/lung disease. His first reaction was that he had it too. According to his "research", apparently everyone desaturates to the low 80s when they exercise. This must explain why the few doctors I have been to pretty much gave me the "you're gonna die" speech after looking at the pulmonary results. It's one of the reasons i hate going to a hospital, because they keep giving me the same song and dance every time.

And it made me realize, this doesnt make me feel better. Yes, it sucks to have to live with, but to claim everyone in the world desaturates to that extent is ridiculously insane to me. One of the primary focus issues is that whilst my oxygen goes down to the low 80s, my heart rate goes up to 150 ... from a flight of stairs. I'm pretty sure unless you're a supremely fat fuck, this is not normal.

Realistically this is why i hate liberals with a passion, because they completely snub any issue if it doesn't fit their ideals. Death sucks, but i feel preparing people for the inevitable is better than living in a fake reality, especially if you're going to make baseless assumptions about swaths of population groups.

edit: For those who don't know, desaturation refers to an increase in heart rate with a decrease in oxygeneation of the blood.

The thing is i don't really mention this disease, but so many of my family members went to get a pulmonary check up. I keep reminding this is NOT a disease you want
