Likely the administrators aren't getting shitfaced while on duty walking away "fuck them users, who cares". I imagine they work like they are working for someone else and taking care to make sure it runs like they are the users. I believe empathy by thinking if I was the user then what would I like to have as a feature. This way of thinking would give them the desire to keep this site high quality and user friendly gui and backend. That's how I think in whatever I work for someone, unless it's a, work so fast you can't make sure your work is correct or good quality, for those employers I feel you get what you asked for and desire since the results of that are your own short sightedness and greed, instead of do it right and double check like your parents are the ones you're serving, and make sure whoever gets the service or the product is happy and can say this person has good work ethics. I worked with a guy who when the owner/boss asked him to go faster he said, "I treat these machines and the material like I own the place and I'm making sure my customer will want to buy my product again". It's all about attitude and I've seen some people that no fucks given when they make good money and just stand around talking when that boss is putting the food on your table, respect is given but don't ask me to work super fast at my age. I work good and conscientiously but not fast for fast sake.
