Palladium is not a semiconductor material and at is expensive. Most chips don't use silicon these days.
In the proposed logic gate, it is not needed as a semiconductor.
Rather palladium would function as a catalytic proton transporter through a non-electronic microtransistor. Remember, electricity is one of the byproducts in the proposed proton computer, not a driving force.
This machine model throws the last 70 years of electronic design methodology on its head. It converts most of present computing limitations, such as operating temperature and lack of electrical power supply, into opportunity costs, to be exploited elsewhere.
