Many people love to praise the high songs of LinkedIn or whatever job search function is out there these days. I realized, LinkedIn is terribly limiting. In my case i wanted to do a lateral transfer to a completely different technology stack, from where i was. I have two resumes, one which is open source and one which is .Net. I came to the conclusion that to use LinkedIn or whatever, would be impossible for me to actually do this, because i would have to modify the entire profile to match my new skills. What if i want to mix and match different contractor companies? Nope that doesn't work either. What if i need to modify some dates to more clearly patch up some issues on my resume, especially true in long term revolving contracts? I can do that, but then it looks bad. But more importantly LinkedIn is just the OnlyFans/Chaturbate of the job world, its useless, and meant only to steal all your employment information. Think about how many people could get their identities stolen by a cursory glance on LinkedIn or other job search engines?
