Just recovering from a severe bout of Covid (symptoms & PCR tested). Ahead of it I thought it was exaggerated at best and for the first 3 days chuckled away on conferences at work with people saying how well I looked considering etc. Then it fucking hit and I can tell you that when you get over the initial first days, the recovery effects are what gets you. I had zero appetite, fluid on my lungs, and couldn't tell if I was awake or asleep. I can see how it can be fatal to old and infirm or underlying health factors as I was fit and healthy until this hit me. Whatever your views on vaccinations, please take this illness seriously as when you get it you'll know about it. Now I've got to invent a story as to why I've not made a sound in 7 days (either that or admit that Covid was worse than expected).

I know some of you hate to hear it's a real illness, but I was skeptical too until day 4 - feel free to bitch and moan if you like.

Before Covid it wasn’t that uncommon for completely healthy individuals to catch pneumonia and sometimes even die regardless of age. Glad you’re better.

You're right. We should totally wear useless masks, shut down the economy spend 2 trillion dollars stop educating children rip apart the fabric of society and force periodic government injections because you were uncomfortable for a little while. It's called not being a bitch.

I love how his argument is that no one believes that Covid is real. I don't know anyone who believes this, but everyone I know believes that masks and lockdowns don't do anything, based on the science.

Your immune system is likely in bad shape so any disease can hit you hard. Have your Vitamin D levels checked. Find out if you're immunocompromised. Don't let anyone talk you into getting vaccinated with any of the ones out there right now.

It can be problematic for older folks, folks with health problems, people with vitamin d issues, etc. I know nothing about you but I assume that you must be older with health conditions because most young and healthy folk recover easily. I am glad that you are still among the living.

The solution is not vaccination, the solution is early and aggressive treatment, like they treated Trump and Giuliani - three days and it's gone.

Your problem was that all the "it's just the flu" talk made you not only underestimate the virus, but also hid the information about the treatment from you. Otherwise, you would have asked your doctor long before to measure your vitamin D level (C19 doesn't kill if the level is ok, it's too low for most people, most people need ten times the daily recommended amount to fill it up), and you would have asked your doctor for ivermectin.
