After so long of being on welfare you should have to pay it back. There should be a set amount of time you have to get a job. If you can't there needs to be proof you've vigorously tried. Real proof. There would be reasonable repayment plans that don't overly burden the social welfare recipients it everything would be paid back.

Welfare having no repercussions for a person means that those who are forced to rely on it for some time are more free to return to independent roles in society when they are able.

Piling debt upon the people in society who have the least ability to pay it back is really dumb, and would only perpetuate their welfare dependency.

Perhaps you could think of a smarter way to discourage people from becoming dependent on welfare, but I don't think so, you're not much of a thinker.

It would deter the scum from doing it for free money. And it would highly encourage people that actually fall on hard times to get back on the horse.
