All other explanations are distractions. The blacks-attacking-asians narrative was seriously hurting the left. Which is why you immediately saw protest marches blaming "white supremacy" for it. This narrative scares the shit out of them. We should push hard to make this common knowledge. Don't give an inch. If you do, the left cements this narrative too, like so many others. Basically it comes down to, they wanted this narrative so every time the right mentions leftwingers/blacks attacking asians, the media can claim "what about wyte-man-bad bigot!?" And if you don't push the issue anyway, then they win.
