The USA could do UBI while reducing the cost of living and industry for luxury goods would explode. Technology has made food, medicine, housing, economically redundant since it requires so little labor. The only way to keep the economy growing is with luxury goods, but people don't have enough money for it. People could use UBI for buying property, stocks, or luxury goods. Up to them. It would eliminate the unlevel playing field created by welfare programs that go primarily to illegal aliens and brown people. White people would have children again and could outbreed the foreigners. Companies would accept higher taxes if they had huge amounts of money coming in from UBI.
