At least as far as I know.
I don't know of any law that gives law enforcement more of a right to use a gun than anyone else.
They have a right to self defense and to defend others, but that's it and you have those same legal rights. They don't have a license to kill. Ultimately, a jury decides if a gun was fired unlawfully.
