The main reason why mass immigration is being pushed on the west is for economical reasons. It drives down the cost of labor by flooding the market with more workers. If you look at most economic literature the idea that labor is less transferable forms a pillar of the foundation of the theories included within. Opening borders and making labor easily transferable undermines every classical and even more recent economical understanding. It turns everything on its head. It's the wild west all over again.
