I don't know the full extent of the penalties and interest, but this information wasn't anywhere in the management dashboard, nor did it ever show up in the many credit checks I've had since then, including a business loan I received.

I'm not sure what happened, but my credit union somehow just found out about it and sent me a notification about it. They don't know anything other than there is some loan, and it's 3-4 years in default.

WTF? HTF? I could have paid this crap years ago had I known about it....

Does anyone here know anything about making it not worth it for these companies to try and collect on things like this? I'm guessing the late fees/interest are out of this world, and I do not want to pay for that shit.

It's not, keep track of your debts, terms are stated when you sign.

Seeing as you are the one that didn't keep track of things and update your address with the holders, it's your fault.

I'm not wrong, you still have to pay, don't you?

According to them.

Define "have to"
