I don't know the full extent of the penalties and interest, but this information wasn't anywhere in the management dashboard, nor did it ever show up in the many credit checks I've had since then, including a business loan I received.

I'm not sure what happened, but my credit union somehow just found out about it and sent me a notification about it. They don't know anything other than there is some loan, and it's 3-4 years in default.

WTF? HTF? I could have paid this crap years ago had I known about it....

Does anyone here know anything about making it not worth it for these companies to try and collect on things like this? I'm guessing the late fees/interest are out of this world, and I do not want to pay for that shit.

the other thing you say that's stupid, and i think you'll agree with me, is you're reeeee about how a LETTER!!! THE ALL POWERFUL AND DEFINITIVE WAY OF KNOWING LETTER!! is how i should have known about it; an arbitrary goal post as you've chosen to be selectively ignorant to the fact that there are at least 2 central locations to track this shit: the loan management dashboard and credit reports.

your concession in not required for your defeat in this debate.

do you understand why you're wrong in your thinking?

>inb4 they'll still scam the money out of you 1 way or another hahaha

Yeah, you should have, you kept your address updated with the entity you agreed to owe, right?

Companies aren't required to report to credit agencies. They probably didn't knowing there are iresponsible asshats like you.

The correct thinking is they probably did it to scam money out of responsible and irresponsible people.

Your extremely forced narrative is SCREAMING boomer or someone who's collecting a piece of this scammy pie.

Responsible people, like me, kept their address up to date, and didn't say, "no bill so I don't owe lol."
