30s road culture, Americana driving vacations. The advent of personal freedom through fast transit explodes the movement and travel and subsequent roadside attractions and motels. The age of Hollywood. A great humbling and reset of excess by the great depression.
20s decadent transatlantic excess. Flapper girls. Automobiles as a status symbol big band and live for the day attitude. Brought on by the nihilistic outlook of the atrocities of ww1.
