If they turn off the power most of the US will be fucked. Texas apparently has an independent power grid and they want to hook it up with the rest of us and use this as an excuse, but if we're all tied together we can all be taken down together.

That's why knowing your neighbours creating strong friendships and being involved in your local community is so important. City people who are surrounded by thousands or even millions of people they don't know are in for a rude awakening if western governments decide to shut off internet etc.
