As you move up through the years of the past couple of decades, Hollywood movies get progressively more nigger, and progressively more homo. Not surprising, since they are made by "progressive" Jew perverts, some of whom are presently in prison on sex convictions. The sex becomes more perverted, the language more foul, and the torture more common and more extreme.

Also, you'll notice the growing "super woman" trend. A single woman, able to beat up ten trained Navy Seals, unarmed. That kind of thing. The bad guys tend to be white men, and low-level criminals who do rapes or assaults are almost always white men. The exception is the "heroic" bad guy, who you are supposed to admire in spite of his evil actions, because he is just so damned cool. He can be black.

The first MI had Cruise's star power plus a story that maintained the premise of the TV show. But most important a director who wanted to, and could, tell the story.

The rest of the movies just had Cruise's star power. They made a shit tonne of money though so sounds like mission accomplished to me. Ving Rhames as the tech expert has always been a hard sell and then adding Simon Peg to the line up was exactly as idiotic as it sounded. The films are watchable only for the action scenes, the rest is all just contrived busy work.
