The only reason one should ever get married is for visa purposes. There is nobother valid reason in today's society.
You have civil unions that are exactly the same as mariage regarding tax brnefits and spouse benefits but without all the paperwork and neither the risks in case of divorce.
Other good reasons include for medical purposes. Not only insurance but the ability to make decisions for each other during health emergencies. Also being married allows you to save more money in certain investment accts, lower car insurance, less taxes because you can itemize together (whereas you didn't make the threshold individually).

That's what I thought, until the state I lived in rolled out gay marriage. When they legalized faggotry, they reversed a bunch of civil marriage laws. It was a real PITA.

They have different names deprnding on countries. They were made for the gays at first but are now used by everyone in europe. Only thing that differs is that you cant change your name to your spouses name legaly.
