Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
Psalm 144:1
The book is not as simple as you believe it to be. You should try reading it through from Genesis to Revelation with the understanding that the New Testament is the fulfillment, not the replacement, of the Old.
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle [is] not yours, but God's.
2 Chronicles 20:15
You very carefully said that the Bible instructs Christians to not murder. That's very true. But the Bible is full of examples of righteous men killing to defend themselves, their families, their homes, and their nations. The point being that you ought not fight your own battle for your own unrighteous reasons, but fight the Lord's battles. He is a just ruler, and a just ruler is a terror to evildoers. Fighting against evil is the Lord's battle.
What has brought the west low is the poisonous pacifism that has been pushed in the false churches for the better part of a century.
