Poal is better in some ways and worse in other ways. **Ways Poal is better:** - More diverse community, it's much easier to find people who have the same obscure beliefs that I do about the nature of things - Far better coding and development - Better owner, I see him posting and replying all the time and putting actual effort in, it's great to see - Basically no downtime, site always runs smoothly - Way less of those dumbass annoying posts where people are @'ing someone in the title - Less hostile, you can actually make comments without some retard attacking you for literally no reason **Ways Poal is worse:** - Subs such as MDE, SBBH, etc. were far more active and really the highlight of Voat for me, I miss those communities - Ironically, I trusted Voat far more - despite all of the toxic and annoying behavior, I knew Voat was the real deal. Poal? I don't know if I trust it yet, this could all be some ploy to gather data or something that's yet to be seen There's my $0.02.
