This is the end of discourse on Poal.

I could let it slide on individual subs, but this is too far; ideas gone unmolested is the promotion of cancer... I suppose that I will have to find a new home.

EDIT: I propose the following solution.

Instead of outright blocking individual users, their replies and conversations are INSTEAD automatically collapsed so that their speech is not infringed upon by allowing the choice to see it, and that those blocking them don't have to see it if they choose not to.

See for petition to change it.

Sure there is only 50, but that is today. As the site grows the demands to raise that number will go up until you guys get tired of it and it becomes unlimited. This a classic slippery slope of 'only just this much'.

So then you will declare here and now that 50 is the static number and will never be changed? (I want you to remember this question)

I don't claim to know what is in the mind of an individual person, but the historical precedent of censorship has repeatedly proved this slippery slope to be so. The only one deciding for others are those that wish to prevent speech in any incantation -- I'm the one saying that nobody deserves to make that decision.

To clarify, I care deeply for Poal, and I want what is best for it, and for free-speech in the future. You know as well as I do that the entire world is bending its will to prevent not just a few people on here from 'saying words'. Don't fall to that trend, because you'll never get it back.
