It’s easy enough to fathom the man being involved in the conspiracy at a high level, without necessarily having the degree of control required to “fix Skype” beforehand.
Gates is a celebrity billionaire; specifically paid to be “one of the richest men on earth”, without necessarily even being in the top fifty. It’s already admitted the Forbes List doesn’t include certain royalty/nobility. These are actors playing a role, as “lightning rods” more than anything.
Your one data point isn’t “wrong” or “stupid”, just insufficient.
