7 Million subscribers to /r/WallStreetBets all calling themselves retards and no one is batting an eye. It went mainstream again. Right now I bet you can only use it in a self-deprecating context without getting the woke army after you but it is a start.

Since when was it not OK to call someone a retard???

About 10 years ago for everywhere except the dark corners of the web. Go ahead and use the term out in public and see how long it takes for cancel culture to catch up to you.

"Special, never go full special". I have not had cable tv in over 10 years cause fuck 'em. Before I cut the cord, I would have comedy central channel on as background noise. They would often play the movie "tropic thunder", that is the movie where Robert Downey Junior, in blackface, explained to Ben Stiller "In the movie Simple Jack, you went full Retard, you never go full retard." Comedy Central scrubbed the word retard, and over dubbed the voices saying "special". Is that fucking retarded or what?

What one were to mix the word with another such as 'jewtard'? It may go under the radar.
