A lot of cool shit in some of them tombs. Most of the Ancient Egyptians Pharaohs and what not were moved to the Valleys of the Kings. I think Ancient Egypt is a fascinating subject and most of the Tombs have already been discovered and ransacked. Most Egyptopogist are extremely delicate and want to preserve said graves and decipher the hieroglyphs. Not to mention their is still so much to learn like the Sphinx and it's age anything buried beneath it etc...
Buddy they are still digging up graves by the dozens. It doesn't matter if a person thinks it's fascinating , seems wrong to do. Especially considering all of the work the Egyptians went through to place those bodies.
What irritates me is the fact that the Ancient Egypt had to move so many to the valley of the kings in the first place and how much history was destroyed or sold in the process. At least those in charge now are trying to preserve history and decipher it. Did you ever see that episode of a program with amature Egyptologists and one of the females pissed off Zahi Hawass because she couldn't hold in her piss and accidentally pissee in one of the pyramids. Nonetheless I agree with your sentiment and unfortunately tomb raiders were a thing millenia before Egyptology became a field. How much history has been destroyed in the name of greed. How many pages have been forever destroyed.
Most of the really interesting stuff is probably tucked away in private collections. Stuff that could answer a lot of questions.
