I keep seeing posts asking "is (blank) a honypot"?

The answer is yes.

All online forums are potentially honypots and virtually ever forum like Voat and Poal are absolutely honypots.

Not because the owners are in on it, they don't need to be because these are public places. They can be accessed by anyone. Of course we are being monitored. Agencies would be stupid not to.

The internet is not private and you have no anonymity online. Your VPN does nothing accept lull you into a false sense of security.

Act accordingly.

I agree with you there.

It takes a deliberate mind to obfuscate the paper trail.

However, as I've always said, if a nation-state entitiy like the CIA is after you, you're already a dead man. Don't care how smart you are.

I agree. I sometimes make posts like this though because a lot of people feel like they are safely protected behind a VPN. People need to realize that there is no anonymity online!
