I come from Voat, and I see the same shit here as I did there and it annoys the hell out of me. People just spout verifiably false information and post satirical articles as fact. So many people don't even bother to read past the headline and then they'll parrot the headline in another thread as if it really happened. We need to be better than the MSM.

I find the same things ring true about all of these independent journalists/websites. They lack objectivity and reason and it makes them no different than the media companies we all hate.

Gateway pundit is the worst. Every source seems to redirect to one of their other articles or to someone else's article that "sources" to another articles that redirects to another article that writes about a "report" from another "news source" that is redirecting to another article. It's maddening.

I feel you there. I have tried to track down these paper trails many times but it all ends up leading back to hearsay coming from a person with some supposed inside information.
