Wasn't life better before all of this shit anyway? They sap our time and energy and offer nothing of value in return. They're not fun. They don't help us to grow as people. We're nothing but ad revenue to them. And as far as I'm concerned, conservatives who centralize all of their shit on those sites are sellouts. DON'T FUND YOUR OWN SLAVERY.

The internet was a lot more exciting and fun when you had to look around a bit more, discover new sites, new browsers and apps, etc. It might not feel so great to nuke this entire part of your life, but in doing so you'll make the internet fresh and new again.

implying I had accounts on those shitpiles in the first place, brother.

If you grew up without computers, the loss you feel when you see this shitshow is profound.

It's especially heartbreaking seeing the effect on kids today who are really just trying to make the best of things. They never stood a chance.

It's almost funny if you try to talk to a teenager today. I was in walmart and talking to a kid, stock boy, and he couldn't carry a conversation. They're so used to communicating via cell phone or the interweb they get stuck without their emojis.

[–] 2 pts

A lot of them are actually afraid to call people since they're so sheltered by texting.

Honestly I've been there. I used to spend like all day in chat rooms and had a hard time communicating in person. So I understand it, but it's sad that it's such a widespread thing now.

imagine what the little tykes are going thru with the mask bullshit. in a store the other day without a mask and this girl of about 8 or 9 saw me and looked as if i were going to eat her. this has got to end.

[–] 2 pts

That's so sad. I have a one year old boy and I'll be damned before he ever wears a mask or thinks it's normal to wear them.

Truer words have never been spoken!

it's a process.

already nixed twitter and facebook years ago.

this year i switched from android to lineage OS on the phone (basically an open source fork of android w/o google)

just installed chromium the ungoogled chrome browser yesterday.

working on giving up youtube completely soon

been using linux as my main desktop system for several years too

thanks for mentioning lineage OS, I will now need to buy a new phone that is compatible and finally ditch google on my mobile :D

the oneplus phones are decent. i have a 1+6 with lineage 16. open street maps osmand is definitely inferior to google maps but it works.

you can also stilk use google stuff through a web browser if you want

Drudge used to refer to 'the ghetto of the internet' , places like Facebook.

[–] 0 pt

That must had been before Poal/Voat.

It was in that Alex Jones interview that Drudge did, I think around the time of 2016 election.

Ah, here it is, short clip.

Upvote. Nodding and saying "yep".

Actually did that, too - and it feels as good as cutting the TV cable back in a day.

I'm honestly excited about it. I'm even done with youtube. There are some channels that I'm going to miss, but it's all old now anyway. Same old shit week after week. I'm ready for something new.

I'm still on YT, mostly for entertainment and education. Check out NileRed for some cool chemistry. The comments are still fairly red pilled in places.
Most political commentary has moved to bitchute and rumble, but it's still fun to talk shit to the MSm directly

There is still good content on youtube, but they've definitely been tweaking the search engine and suggested videos... for the worse. I've heard several people say the same things. The algorithm suggests the same videos you've already watched, over and over. Does not expose you to similar material that you might like.

Speculation is that they are trying to control the spread of Q info, right wing politics, conspiracy theories, and any information they don't want to spread.

mwh jewtube with adblocker costs them money.

Working on it. Just watch out for joos

[–] 1 pt

Assholes! You don't know life without self clicks. Assholes with no future

[–] 1 pt

working on that, I have been commenting and sending emails to all the channels I follow to repost all their videos on alternatives such as bitchute, rumble and odysee

Do this too everyone, People follow the content-normies won't give it up. But if you make switching easy, they can leave youtube as easy as people left myspace for facebook.

also I found this free social media thing from purism, https://librem.one/#

maybe trump would like that?

Good points:

1) The internet was more fun when there were new sites to discover. We need a sub to share our finds.

2) We're all sell outs, all that talk of patriotism was bullshit. When OUR time came to fight for our country the bravest amounts us showed up at the Capitol, through a few papers around and left. The rest of us lived in luxury behind our tech, allowed the country to be taken over, and grumbled at the Ministry of Truth as they labeled the true patriots seditionists and report on their arrests.
