You're preaching to the choir. A couple of years ago I decided to do what you're recommending now. I closed and deleted my Twitter, Instagram, jewtube and Reddit accounts. Also Gab, but I closed that account because all my media disappeared one day, never to return. I'm only on Poal now, but I still lurk on other sites like Saidit and Reddit (conspiracy). Trump should have left Twitter at the beginning of his term, would have avoided a lot of problems. And would have been a big boost to what ever free speech site he went to.
People just get used to the tradition and habit of using the same platforms. They don't want to learn something new. They don't like their status quo rocked. But whining and complaining about FB, Twitter and Yewtube is pointless. I got kicked off a platform and immediately just deleted the app and said MEH.. Done. I have no problem with walking away from abusers.
