on voat 100 votes meant something 300 meant another 500+ something else

posts barely break 30 on free speech sites. news goes by unnoticed. slide thread operations?

unsourced rumors linger without debunking

Can anyone notice a difference in poal since voat arrived? cause it doesnt feel like voat arrived.

a few years ago i used to be someone who would find main headlines and try to be first to post. then i found that others were competing to do so i was happy to turn over the reigns in more creative pursuits.

maybe its just the holidays? maybe voat going down has had a strong demoralization effect?

if my post gets moved thats ok

I miss the downvote button -- I mean, we've still got it here, but we can't use it, so what is it good for?

People have said over and over what it's meant for. On Poal, we try not to suppress opinions we dislike. It can be difficult to either form a counterargument or move on from what you disagree with, but it's a more mature way of doing things.

Then don't have one? Add a "spam" or "report" button?

That's basically what saidit does; upvoat is two points and downvoat or "funny" is one, and the report button is about where Voat's was. Saidit is teh ghey though.
