I would say excessive comfort. Because a cold beer after a hard job in a hot day is a comfort. A weekend barbecue, or staying half an hour more under the sheets cuddling your lady in a cold Sunday morning. We deserve little prizes, and I think they're a push. But I agree, if you get too comfortable, you become motionless, apathetic, lazy and weak.

comfort for those of your tribe binds them together. comfort outside your tribe is a sign of weakness. Being able to see the faded tribal lines are priceless.

To a limited extent, decadence leads to the decay we see in every facet of western society.

They decay we see today is from throwing brow beaters into jail when they caught someone breaking a cultural taboo. race mixing? that's a beating. Stealing? that's a beating. not going to church every sunday, if your healthy that's a beating. looking at small boys like you should be looking at women? that's a lynching and a burn'n their sinful house down.

Telling country and small town folk the above is a crime is the cause of degeneracy.

We live in a moral free decadent time. No historical precedence for the outcome of these things. The future is a fucking mystery.
