Was level 11, had no mark at all and had something like 7 downvotes ever versus something like 1000 upvotes. I noticed they had marked and banned somebody who had made a brand new account with 0 downvotes ever. I remembered the mods saying how it was an algorithm that automatically labeled you with the tag I now have and then nukes you account. The same exact thing happened to . I wanted to be able to trust the mods here but after knowing for a fact they are just straight up lying it’s sad. I went to bed some time after making that thread above, had not made a single downvote in days and definitely not since making that thread. So not only do I know that an account with 0 downvotes can get the mark but now an account like mine that hasn’t downvoted in days and not since I made that thread can also get it. It just proves the mods are doing it. It’s not an algorithm at all, they just mark and nuke whoever they don’t like. And then I’m being accused of having alts. No, this is literally the only account I have ever made on this website and the mods know this but just do not care. I don’t know why they would lie like this. Just straight up say “yeah we don’t like you so we mark people we don’t like and nuke their accounts.” It’s that simple. Don’t just lie and say it’s an algorithm when it’s not. It’s just pathetic. I now know for absolute certain it has nothing to do with downvotes and everything to do with mod discretion. It’s funny. AOU literally marked my thread with the flair “fake news” and then nuked my account proving me right.

I think I know the problem from what you said

If I understand the system correctly, downvotes are only for spam. I take that as traditional spam like a bot posting a link. A logical reason for this, that I can think of is even a shill has the right to post and be seen. Free speech goes for all so that makes sense to me. The CSS I use here even says to not downvote content you don't agree with/like but to reply to it and explain why you disagree. This is much better system than we had on voat. I hate to say it but voat was guilty of the wrongthink crimes as much as the left. I tried posting things that most goats did not agree with. Downvoted to the abys where no one could see it in seconds. What if I was correct and everyone else was wrong? What good is free speech if the opposing side mutes you? It is clear a lot of effort went in to poal. Not just good software. I suspect whoever came up with the way poal.co works has studied philosophy and understands why free speech is critical to have. It's not enough to support free speech but you have to defend it even when it comes from those who are out to kill you and your way of life. If you don't then people will always move that line to their side.

Just realized I'm probably preaching to the choir so I will stop now.

Dude have you read the thread? I wasn’t nuked for downvoting. I hadn’t downvoted anything for days. There are people right now with 15 downvotes and a quarter of the upvotes I had on my account. They lie about any algorithm. I was nuked and marked right when AOU logged in at 5 am when I was sleeping. He personally nuked my account manually. It has nothing to do with downvotes at all. Fucking READ dude. Would you like to see an example of an account with only 300 upvotes and 15 downvotes who never got nuked? I had like 1200 upvotes and 7 downvotes. You aren’t even trying to listen to my argument. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH DOWNVOTES OR AN ALGORITHM. The mods do whatever they want and then say it was the algorithm. I had made 0 downvotes for days when I made the thread linked in the OP. I went to bed at level 11. AOU logged in, saw the thread, labeled it fake new and manually nuked my account. Wake the fuck up.

No, I did not read the entire thread. I hear you and I understand what you are saying. I'd like for AOU to speak up on this. Perhaps there is a reason we are unaware of that is reasonable.

Could be something as simple as his dog died and he did something he should not have done. I'd give him a pass if that happened and he was adult enough to say so. As well as put things back the way they were... and gave me one of those tags like the suspicious behavior tag but instead it says cunt.

Could be something as simple as he doesn’t like me and nuked my account and blamed it on an algorithm which is what he did.
