Context matters. With your definition, free speech has never existed. As such, a tad dishonest to hold a different standard here.

If you're going to apply your definition, you should clarify that you're using your definition and not the standard or common definition, as defined by the USA. Which, btw, is the only place "free speech" has ever existed.
