I will never understand what poverty is like. It is just something that has never really crosses my mind. I will never have to ask anyone for anything. I tell them, and they do, in which case there are rewards, or they don't, in which case there are consequences.
But asking, it just seems so low and disgusting. How can a man have that level of dignity? It is like a dog begging for a treat.
But, maybe we are all dogs.
