It's a shithole

It's a shithole

(post is archived)

I didn't miss it. I have no opinion since I don't watch it. The simple fact is that nothing in your post was worth responding to. The NPR thing falls under ad hominem which is logical fallacy

You having no opinion about it and not even knowing that it's not something you can watch (it's radio......) AND you automatically assuming that a news company is television.... oh boy that's a triple fail

quadruple if you count ignoring/missing the question the first time

by fail I mean: If you do you not even know what NPR is then you are not educated in basic media literacy (in the united states at least, this whole thing turns on me if you're not american and I'm the dumbass) enough to engage in a discussion about what is and isn't a trustworthy source

ad hominem is only a logical fallacy if you are using it as a piece of your logical argument... I was using YOU as the SUBJECT of the discussion

Ah, telling me to go back to my own home website? Another bigoted trope I see

(that last line was a joke)

The basis of your argument was NPR. You said it yourself. That's logical fallacy.

Which logical fallacy is it to give a quiz for knowledge?

NPR is a good litmus--usually--because what people think about it's perceived bias tells you a lot about their American media literacy skills. It doesn't have lefty or righty stigma to most people who listen, but it's weird to encounter someone who doesn't even have an opinion about it.

Or at least it used to be weird...
