I'm confused. If Ruqqus is "a lefty site" then wouldn't calling the police "monsters" get upvotes?
FWIW I agree that Ruqqus is fast becoming another bastion of left leaning opinions an free speech suppression. Which is why the downvotes confuses me.

And in fact it seems that just about anything that challenges the norm gets downvoted on ruqqus. You cant have any different opinion to the majority.
It depends. UK cops are overbearing too much time and power on their hands monsters breaking down people's doors over their online comments. So are most cops that use excessive force.
The police have too much power beyond being any kind of a force for good.
IDK... all of my encounters with police showed them to be even handed and reasonable, within the framework of enforcing the law. Until I reported a clearly intoxicated driver in my neighborhood and they sent two chick cops out. What a waste of fucking time that was.
But as far as the UK goes I can only go on what I've read, which sounds bloody terrible but since it's anecdotal I have to take it with a grain of salt.
They straight up arrested a 12 year old kid for calling a black football player a nigger on twitter.
