All these people in retail, service, and entertainment jobs are being sent home. The places where they work being closed by mandate. It got me thinking about how many of these jobs are just fluff. These places are being closed and nothing of real value is lost. Sure it is nice to go out and have a good time, but it isn't essential. Depending on how long these place remained closed they might not have the funds to reopen. The government simply can't afford to help everyone. That means people will be out of work and our record low unemployment is toast. Could be a long road back. Hopefully we learn some lessons.
