It takes roughly 1 acre to sustain one person there are over 7 billion acres of land in texas alone. We do not have an over population problem, we have a different kind of problem.

Not even close to all of that being farmable. And that doesn't take into account how much space people need for mental health. We could crowd everyone into a fraction of the land mass but that would not work.

You are right but there is way more farm-able land in the mid west than that. Also we currently crowd people in to spaces much much smaller than that with modern cities. We don't have a population problem we have a stupid people problem.

I also want to add that the one acre theory is predicated on the idea that this acre of land is perpetually sustainable. Best case scenario you would need three acres for crop rotation as the oil supply and thus fertilizer supply are not infinite.
