I haven't had a smoke for over a month. Not gonna weaken my respiratory system if I get infected and have to fight the virus.
Im kinda doing an experiment. looking to get off blood pressure meds. If it doesnt help Im gonna be a smokin bitch again.
10 years for me, i used vaping because i like my nicotine. Brought down my BP to the point i was barely hypertensive. I recently started taking l-citrulline, it is the precursor to l-arginine which the body uses to create nictric oxide. 3mg 2X/day. My BP is now below the hypertensive level and am now off my BP meds.
I use L-citrulline because any excess, during the arginine conversion, is converted back to citrulline.
Nicotine is not the only chemical in cigarettes that elevates your BP, it may even be the least of the bunch as it only lasts around 30 minutes to the point when your blood vessels return to normal. I cant really say which of the other chemicals are the culprits, tobacco companies add so many chemicals it would be tough for a lab to pin point. In fact just caffeine hardens the arteries longer than just plain nicotine. Quite a few studies, in recent years, point out that nicotine is no where near as bad as we have all been led to believe.
PS. It took about 2 months for my BP to be lower on a regular basis. You're 3 weeks in, CONGRATS, so hang in there for the benefits.
never been addicted to anything, its just habit. I have stopped before but it this doesnt make any sense believe me i will smoke again.
L-citrulline ordered, thanks
You can relieve some of that pressure by opening up an artery. Release the excess pressure!!
ha, thats always been a last choice thing.
