absolutely. "my India" and "man eaters of kumaon" by Jim Corbett will teach you how you are supposed to behave. "animal farm" by George Orwell will show you how other people behave. "the old testament" aka "civilization for dummies" aka "don't shit where you eat" by God is chock full of good info. "the new testament" by Jesus and his Homies (co-authored by God) is a pretty good how-to manual on not being a dick. lessee...…"the fountainhead" by ayn rand is okay I guess. "the iceberg hermit" was a good one, about self sufficiency. "lord of the flies" by William Golding is a profoundly disturbing look at human nature. theres a good start for you!
I'm three quarters of the way through Atlas Shrugged. Would recommend.
