The left has always been about imprisoning political opponents. Just as real world bad guys don't claim to be bad guys, so it goes with leftists. They're not advocating for a system of imprisoning dissidents, it's just trying to prevent the spread of misinformation. You know, to protect democracy by making discussing certain things punishable by imprisonment.

We can hope. IF 'misinformation' is called Outright criminal Lies as it should be, there are several hundred of the MSM and politicians that should be in prison or hanged for treason.
