I’ve always thought that connecting household appliances & items to the internet was stupid, this proves I was right. Anyone who buys such an item is throwing their money away. There is no reason a mattress or a refrigerator needs an internet connection.

How the fuck does it even gain network access? Like who is setting up their bed and is like "yeah I gotta join the bed to the wifi"? Do people actually go along with stupid shit like that?

If it connects to the Internet, it will likely stop functioning when the company's servers stop being maintained. That's enough of a kill-switch already.
