Just read how they're an invasive species in the Chesapeake Bay. I had no idea catfish could survive in ANY salt water, much less basically the ocean

Not only do catfish taste shitty, but they cause problems all over the place, especially when they grow super big. They have eaten people in India (they eat litetal shit), outbread many breeds of fish in Europe and survive damn near anything. I don't recall ever seeing a limit on how many catfish you can keep anywhere. Everyone is happy to see them gone.

Also see salmon, bull sharks, striped bass, eels, flounder, and some stingrays.

Knew about all of those. CA has a few lakes with strippers in them (or used to at least). Loved those trips. And I have a picture from Vancouver Washington when my son caught a starry flounder when we were out for trout on the Columbia. There's a lot of aquarium fish that can do it too.

There's a couple catfish that like the brackish as they grow. Don't know how high their salt tolerance goes. The Columbian shark cat is sold as a freshwater fish, but they need to be switched to brackish after a while in order to thrive.
