"Is about" is a bad way to go about making that argument. By phrasing it that way you volunteer to take up the burden to prove that it is intentional.
How do you prove intent? Why would you even try? Does it matter if it is intentional?
Those things have those effects. Promoting them destroys a nation. Doesn't matter if that's what it was about. That's the result. That's all what matters.
Don't waste time and effort arguing what's in people's minds. Focus on the consequences of their actions.
Essentially just remove 'about'.

Casting blame is what the weak and craven do, to make themselves feel better about their own failure to do anything about it.
